Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. It is recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried and trusted by schools worldwide.
The Cambridge IGCSE courses help learners to develop very important educational skills which include the ability to undertake individual projects, enquiry skills, recall of knowledge, oral skills, problem-solving, initiative, teamwork, and investigative skills.
There are over 70 subjects available at Cambridge IGCSE, including 30 languages, and schools can offer them in any combination. Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:

- Applying knowledge and understanding to new as well as unfamiliar situations
- Intellectual enquiry

- Working and communicating in English
- Influencing outcomes
- Cultural awareness.
At North Legon Little Campus, we offer Arts, Business and Science Programmes.
The following subjects are compulsory for all students in our school:

Depending on students’ interest and career aspirations, they can choose to either pursue Arts, Business or Science programme.
Cambridge International AS/A-Level
Students who have successfully completed the Cambridge IGCSE continue with the Cambridge AS and A-Level programme for two years. Over the course of the two-years Cambridge International AS and A-Level, students study three or four subjects chosen from the 55 subjects available in Cambridge AS and A-Level curriculum.
The Cambridge A-Level is one of the most recognized qualifications around the world. For over 50 years, Cambridge A-Levels have been accepted as proof of academic ability for entry to universities and institutes of higher education. Cambridge International A-Level is a ‘gold standard’ qualification. It has exactly the same value in admitting students to universities as the UK equivalent and is accepted as an entry qualification to Ghanaian universities and universities worldwide.
Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level represents the first half of a full A Level course and gives students the opportunity to study a broader range of subjects without committing to doing a full A Level. You can choose to complete an AS Level examination, and then stop studying for that particular subject or you can gain an AS Level qualification, and then complete the remaining course of study in order to take the A Level assessment. Cambridge A and AS Levels offer a flexible course of study that gives you the freedom to select the subjects that are right for you.
At North Legon Little Campus, the following subjects are available for students at the AS/A- Levels:
- Business Studies
- English Language
- English Literature
- Applied ICT
- General Paper (Compulsory)
