North Legon Little Campus largely follows the Cambridge Primary Programme which develops skills in English, Mathematics and Science. The curriculum is flexible with clear learning objectives. It also provides full support for teachers, including a secure support website, teacher guides, training and resources.
The Cambridge Programme is beautifully blended with the British National and Ghanaian curricula in the non-core subject areas.
The primary school starts from Year 1 and ends at Year 6. Students in Year 1 are typically between the ages of 5 and 6 while students in Year 6 are typically aged 10 to 11 years.
The following subjects are offered at the primary level of the school:
- Religious and Moral Education
- Art & Design
- Physical Education
At our primary school, we believe that children learn best when teaching and learning is activity-based and because of this, our teachers undergo continuous professional development training in order to prepare and deliver lessons that follow the principle of Active Learning where children are actively engaged in the learning process in the classroom.
As a Cambridge curriculum school, we share in the principle of Cambridge University in developing learners who are confident, responsible, innovative and engaging.
